My goal behind instructing is to never make you a slave to recipes, nor eat out of a pedagogical hand. Rather, my goal is bring out the master in the student. After all, great casters often have a heightened understanding, ability to diagnose errors at the root level, and are nimble to make on stream adjustments on the fly (check out my Kack handed video where my first cast was a collapsed cast, immediately followed by the improved version).

Picking a good/ great instructor is a maze in of itself. There is no 'Yelp' reviews for instructor, and even if we did, our appreciation factors may vary from one to another. Here are some criteria I want you to consider when choosing an instructor.
1. Ability to communicate at student level, both in complexity and quantity 2. Manage expectations at the onset: Both student and teacher on the same page, and to leave student something to practice between lessons. 3. Balance between Knowledge and Practice (Physics and Doing). 4. Meeting the student at their level: Differing learning modes (intellect, emotional, experiential) 5. Growth vs. Comfort: Reinforcement (building legs) vs. Hanging out in space 6. Dogma (get download from teacher's experience) vs. Freedom to experiment (show you how to get your own download) 7. Relatability: Connecting with the student and his/her struggle 8. Intention: Ego vs. Raising the game for all. 9. Detection: Ability to spot the smallest causes often missed due to high speed motion. 10. Root cause trouble shooting: Ability to go to seminal cause. A Group Class in session.
